[Style] Vintage with a black ribbon!

Hey there!!

I came across this image when doing a search for heels with ribbon laces, and liked the look so much I decided to give it a go myself!

White Retro Ring, Black Ribbon, Stradivarius White Top, H&M High Waisted Black Skirt, Embis Black Heels
OK, so I don't own a white retro ring, a Stradivarius white top, a H&M high waisted skirt or Embis black heels, but what I DO own is a black ribbon, a Primarni (Primark hehe) white top, a Moda Vera high waisted skirt and a pair of Clark ribbon heels, so here we go:

Sorry the quality is not great...I'm using my phone camera at the moment!
Hewwo :3
OK...after my exams I'll invest in a decent camera and retake these photos...
*dies of shame*
Well worn but well loved!
And the obligatory selca ᵔᴥᵔ
Hmm, I think the model pulled that outfit off better than I did, but nevertheless it was funfunfun to have a go! I've come to realisation that I can't go on for much longer using my phone as a camera...so if anyone has any decent camera recommendations, do let me know!

Until next time, lovelies! (✿◠‿◠)

[OOTD] My Orange Dress

So, last night I went to a grad house party, and the theme was to wear bright colours to warm up the winter. Since I hadn't planned on anything fun this term, it was a bit of a struggle to find something that could work in my warddrobe, but I hope that the following outfit embodied the theme:

Orange Jane Norman dress
Pink cardigan from Terminal D

I actually really like this combination!

A close up of my face... >_<
I'm only wearing eyeliner and some L'Oreal Infaillable Goldmine eyeshadow.
I'd like to learn how to do more than just eyeshadow and liner...!

The camera cut out my shoes! :(

The radiator was too warm so I couldn't sit on it for too long!

Shoes <3

I'm actually really pleased with this combination as I never thought pink/purple and orange could go together. Also, I think the night went really well too! I met lots of new people and finally got to hang out with my lovely lab mates outside of the department! :)

[OOTD] Valentine Outfit

Hey there! Happy Valentine's Day for those of you that celebrate it! ^_^

Today, I went to my college's Formal Hall, and since it was a formal occasion, I got to dress up! If you want to see photos from it, then check out my diary post, but anyhow, here is my outfit:

With college gown, and without...

I'm wearing the Fatal Dress by Wolford, which is an "opaque, seamless tube for an individual style. Can be worn as a skirt, top or dress. Sensually soft, made of exclusive Velvet material." I came across this at the Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet during my summer internship in Liverpool, and fell in love with it straight away. Luckily, the dress was 33% discounted at the Outlet! :)

You can do a lot of cool stuff with this dress:

But obviously this video is there to try to get you to buy more than one colour... T_T

If you only have one colour, then your options are limited, but so far, I've been able to turn this into a ruched mini dress, a respectable length dress, a mini skirt, and a pencil skirt. Maybe I'll do a showcase post in the future? ^_^

Anyway, this is the first time that I wore my Albano heels out, and they definitely got a lot of attention!

I kinda ran out of time and also don't actually own/use any foundation/BB Cream so kept my face bare but moisturised. I curled my eyelashes, added eyeliner, a flick of Dior's Diorshow Waterproof and a pair of false lashes from the Eylure Natural range. For the eyeshadow, I just used L'Oreal's Infaillable 027 Goldmine and left my lips blank. None of that really shows in this photo, since it was taken at the end of the night (and I have huge shadows under my eyes >_<) so oh well...!

Anyway, goodnight, and as always, comments = love love! :)

[OOTD] Snow Day

Hey there, remember when I told you about the shorts and boots that I bought a few posts ago? Well, I finally got a chance to wear them today, and guess what? I teamed them up with each other!

Song of the day: This Is War by MBLAQ (a little depressing but pretty beautiful ^^)

If you've read my diary post, then you will know that today it was a super snowy day in Cambridge, and that I had a lunch date with some friends! I felt like it would be nice to wear a shirt that I'd bought over Christmas and to dress it down with the shorts and boots. Here's what the overall outfit looks like:

Customary mirror shot.

Necklace: Pearls from China
Tank top: Primark
Shorts: Bay
Boots: Office

Eeek, didn't realise how creased the shirt was!

You can see the detail of the shorts better here. The boots have a four inch heel, and were 17% of the original price! Thank you January sales!

My outerwear: Coat from China
Accessories: As seen here

I'll do a post soon about the coat that I bought - it's pretty awesome as it's a 2 in 1 in that you can remove the fur lining and wear that as a separate jacket! :D

I was going to post about the coat earlier but I broke my camera whilst taking some photos of the coat... :(

Anyway, that's all for now! If you have any comments or critiques then do let me know! ^^

OOTD and Haul!

Hey there, this is the outfit that I wore today!

Necklace: Heritage, gift from SJ
Top: Primark
Dress: FORGET.ME.NOT, from a shop in Amsterdam
Belt: Madame Butterfly
Cardigan: Brave Soul, from a shop in Liverpool
Boots: xti, from Oxfam in Liverpool

Does this look work?

I also went shopping today and came across a cute shop called Terminal D that's located in the Lion Yard where Madame Butterfly used to be. Terminal D is owned by a Korean guy called Shawn who designs all of the clothes in the shop and tells me that it takes so much time that he only manages to get three hours of sleep on some nights! I spent ages browsing the stuff there, but my eye kept on lingering on a really cute pink cardigan. In the end, I bought it even though it was pretty pricey, but I liked the cut and it looked good with my outfit at the time!

I'm too tired to model the cardigan so will show you it at another time... ^^

Afterwards I headed to Market Square where I overhead two Chinese girls haggling with one of the vendors, so after they left, I approached him and managed to bargain down two hats and two scarves! I'm not sure if I'll keep the black set yet but I think it'll definitely make a cute present.

Oh, I also bought a white eyeliner from Boots:

White eyeliners are so hard to find!

After reading some tutorials on how to make your eyes look bigger, I finally decided to get a white eyeliner so will be experimenting around soon! ^^

All my love,
