[Haul] Boots, shorts, and super sensitive skincare

This is going to be an uber post of the things that I have bought in the last few days, starting with Friday when I came across a really cute pair of shorts from Bay that were sitting in a thrift store just waiting for me to buy them:

I've been trying out a few looks with them, and so far I really love wearing them with a white tank top, black leggings, heeled boots and long necklace ~ when I get a new camera I'll try to take a few outfit photos. Even though they are out of season, I've been wanting a striped pair like them for ages now so could not resist!

Next up is a pair of heeled winter boots that I got in the Office sale today. If you haven't been there already then you are definitely missing out since they had a sale where their flats and heels were £12 or less! Unfortunately this sale ended today but the salespeople told me that you will be able to find them online.

Now, onto the cosmetics:

Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips (to get rid of blackheads)
Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser (a cleanser for super dry skin)
Nivea Daily Essentials Gentle Facial Cleansing Wipes
No. 7 Beautiful Skin Day Cream (for dry or very dry skin)
MUA Makeup Academy Professional Eye Primer

I never used to think much about taking care of the skin on my face until I started to read beauty blogs ~ my skin was always super dry but moisturiser and sleep would usually do the trick. I figured that right now, things were fine so why bother to put effort in? But since prevention is better than cure, I've now decided to take an active interest in the maintenance of my skin, so will hopefully be doing a few reviews on some of the products that I've purchased, especially the dry skin products since I haven't seen that many skin care reviews that are for people with extra dry skin.

The lady that I spoke to at Boots was also kind enough to give me some free samples of a skin recovery cream from French company Avene:

Sorry about the slightly blurry photo!

Again, these are targeted towards super sensitive and dry skin, and are used as moisturisers after cleansing. Can't wait to try them out! :D

[Fashion] Dragon Dress!

This is going to be a series of posts in which I rave about an outfit that I really like! Whether or not I'd actually wear it is another question though...

Song of the day: Warrior by B.A.P. I am so addicted to this song right now!!

So without further ado, let me present to you Wang Luodan and her outfit at the 2012 CCTV Spring Festival Gala. I can't get over how much I love this!

Wow, that piece of arm bling is so freaking HOT!!

Although that arm is pretty much useless now other than as decoration.

Not so sure about the plastic strap but other than that, this is such a beautiful shoe! ^^

Yeah, I don't think you'd be able to move your arm with that on...

Erm, a more Photoshopped version of the first pic?

Verdict: I'd never wear it, because firstly, I'm not tall or skinny enough, secondly, my skin isn't nice enough, and thirdly, because I think that you may as well give up on the use of one arm for the duration of time that you have that badass blingery floating on it which makes me think that maybe this outfit really was just meant to be looked at, rather than worn. But nevertheless, this is still absolutely stunning and if I could pull it off, then I would definitely (metaphorically...) sell my arm to be able to wear that hehe.

Anyways, that's all for now! I do have a review for the MUJI eyelash curler that I bought a few weeks ago, and a coat that I want to show you but my camera broke last night so I can't take any photos! *sniff*

Jane Norman Cherry Coat and Cute Gloves

Today I decided to go check out the sales since it is the last day before my lectures start...

I saw 70% off signs everywhere I looked! Oasis, Top Shop, Dorothy Perkins, Jane Norman, Warehouse, Ark, Accessorize...all of these high street bands were hosting some awesome sales. But the only shop that didn't seem to be in the sale spirit was once again, Terminal D which is a shame as out of all the shops I visited, Terminal D was the only place where I wanted to buy loads of stuff.

Song of the day: The One That Got Away by Katy Perry

Nevertheless, I came across an awesome red coat in Jane Norman that I ended up buying:

Sorry about the photo quality and my sucky posing...

Coat: Jane Norman
Hat: Market Square
Shoes: Albano

I really liked the texture of the material, which feels thick and warm, and the colour, which is a deep cherry red. Both of these aspects sadly aren't captured very well by my camera.

The coat was on sale, so I ended up getting it for forty percent of the original price!

I also got these from Market Square:

So cute!

I've been meaning to buy a new pair of gloves for ages now after I lost one of my beloved gloves back in December. I'm quite happy with these as they didn't cost that much and are fleece lined inside for extra warmth. Plus, the fact they are fingerless mittens means I can also grip my handlebars when I cycle to and from lectures!

OOTD and Haul!

Hey there, this is the outfit that I wore today!

Necklace: Heritage, gift from SJ
Top: Primark
Dress: FORGET.ME.NOT, from a shop in Amsterdam
Belt: Madame Butterfly
Cardigan: Brave Soul, from a shop in Liverpool
Boots: xti, from Oxfam in Liverpool

Does this look work?

I also went shopping today and came across a cute shop called Terminal D that's located in the Lion Yard where Madame Butterfly used to be. Terminal D is owned by a Korean guy called Shawn who designs all of the clothes in the shop and tells me that it takes so much time that he only manages to get three hours of sleep on some nights! I spent ages browsing the stuff there, but my eye kept on lingering on a really cute pink cardigan. In the end, I bought it even though it was pretty pricey, but I liked the cut and it looked good with my outfit at the time!

I'm too tired to model the cardigan so will show you it at another time... ^^

Afterwards I headed to Market Square where I overhead two Chinese girls haggling with one of the vendors, so after they left, I approached him and managed to bargain down two hats and two scarves! I'm not sure if I'll keep the black set yet but I think it'll definitely make a cute present.

Oh, I also bought a white eyeliner from Boots:

White eyeliners are so hard to find!

After reading some tutorials on how to make your eyes look bigger, I finally decided to get a white eyeliner so will be experimenting around soon! ^^

All my love,
